| De11 | Distinguished Conduct Medal, George V to 15956 Private Thomas Coyne, 9th Battalion, York and Lancaster Regiment. Includes copies of the London Gazette (1 January 1917) and citation (13 February 1917) 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He worked continuously for over 24 hours bandaging and bringing in wounded men under very heavy fire'. Although the citation is undated, the 9th Battalion were present on the first day of the Battle of the Somme. Also includes MICs confirming entitlement to DCM, 1914-15 Star, BWM and Victory Medal and showing that he entered France on 27 August 1915.
