Cn205 1914 Star to 56255 Driver John Thomas Wheeler, 35 Brigade, Royal Field Artillery.  Wheeler was a member of 58th Battery, 35 th Brigade when he died on 17 September 1918 at the age of 29.  He is buried in the Deuville Communal Cemetery near Vicenza, Italy.  Includes MIC confirming entitlement with a qualifying date of 6 October 1914 (GVF) £120
Cn217 1914 Star to 9879 Private John White, 2nd Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment.  Son of Mrs L White, Walthamstow, Essex, Private White died on 26 October 1916 at the age of 23.  He is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme.  Includes MIC confirming entitlement with a qualifying date of 5 November 1914 (GVF) £130

Cn151 1914-15 Star to 2881 Private Fred Woodhead, West Riding Regiment.  Includes MIC showing his entitlement to the 1914-15 Star, that he entered France on 15 April 1915, that he also served with number 305984 and that he disembarked on 18 February 1919 (GVF) £35
Cn273 1914-15 Star to 3312 Private Edward Gough, 15th Battalion, Australian Imperial Force.  Includes some research showing that he was a single farmer when he enlisted on 9 June 1915.  His mother is recorded as his Next of Kin, living in Barton, Nottinghamshire.  He embarked from Brisbane on 21 October 1915 on HMAT Seang Bee.  He may have served in Gallipoli as the battalion did not evacuate to Egypt until December 1915.  The battalion took part in many of the major battles on the Western Front and Private Gough was eventaully repatriated on 24 January 1918 with the rank of Corporal.  He was also recommended for a Military Medal for gallantry during the Battle of Messines Ridge (7-11 June 1917) whilst serving with 47th Battalion (GVF-NEF) £160
Cn276 1914-15 Star to 200147 Private John Brewer, 1st/5th Battalion, The King's (Liverpool Regiment).  Includes MIC showing his entitlement to the 1914-15 Star, that he entered France on 21 February 1915 and that he also served with number 1523.  Brewer died on 24 September 1918 with the rank of corporal (VF) £50
Cn277 1914-15 Star to 2949 Private Thomas Crowne, Rifle Brigade.  Includes MIC showing his entitlement to the 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal and that he entered France on 21 July 1915.  Private Crowne also served in the Royal Fusiliers with number 106863, the Royal Army Service Corps (Canteens) with number NAC/461189 and the Labour Corps with number 443163.  He died on 11 April 1920 and is buried at Mazargues War Cemetery, Marseilles  (NEF) £50

British War Medal to Lieutenant Ernest Howe, 83rd (1st/3rd Home Counties) Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps.  Lieutenant Howe was a graduate of Victoria University, Manchester and was the son of John and Anne Howe, Dove Holes, Derbyshire and the husband of Gertrude Howe, Rhos on Sea, Denbighshire.  He died on 14th December 1916 and is remembered at the Mikra British Cemetery, Kalamaria.  Includes MIC confirming entitlement.  Also includes Internet research that shows that Lieutenant Howe had less than 100 hours of active service before being killed during an aircraft bombing raid at Tasli (NEF-EF)
